Government Children's Home (Boys), Raipur, Sirajganj
After the Language Movement of 1952, it was established as a center for the care and rehabilitation of orphaned children and distressed women under the Ministry of Social Welfare and Women's Affairs of the Government of the People's Republic of Bangladesh in 1959 with the aim of rehabilitating those women, orphaned children and husbands who became helpless.
Later in 1984, it was converted into a children's home for orphaned children only. Later in 1988, the government children's home was converted into a government children's home for the purpose of raising boys in a family environment.
